New PRADA phone by LG 3.0 release

On this, their third smartphone collaboration, LG Electronics and the designer brand PRADA have released the new  PRADA phone by LG 3.0 to customers in South Korea.  European countries and other parts of Asia are scheduled offer the LG PRADA 3 phone at the end of January 2012. PRADA 3.0 measures 8.5mm thin, and it offers a bright 800-nit NOVA display on a full glossy 4.3inch screen touchscreen along with PRADA’s signature Saffiano pattern design on the back of the smartphone. The device is powered by a 1.0GHz Dual-Core/Dual Channel processor, and Google’s Android Gingerbread OS which will be updated to the new Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating system in the second quarter of 2012.

Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G smartphone to be released by T-Mobile USA

The exact release date has not been announced, but we do know that T-Mobile USA will be releasing the new Samsung Galaxy S Blaze 4G smartphone exclusively later this year. AT&T to release Sony Xperia ion LTE smartphone

Sony Xperia ion smartphoneSony announced at CES 2012 that its first 4G LTE smartphone, the new Xperia ion will be available exclusively from AT&T in the United States during the second quarter of 2012.  The Sony Xperia ion is powered by the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and the device sports a large 4.6-inch HD display (1280 X 720 pixels) screen. Xperia ion will offer access to the Sony Entertainment Network and serices like Music Unlimited with 12 million songs, as well as movies and TV from Video Unlimited.

Nokia and AT&T have announced at CES 2012 that the Nokia Lumia 900 Windows Phone-based smartphone will be available exclusively from AT&T in the coming months. The Lumia 900 will offer high-speed  connectivity on AT&T’s 4G LTE network.

AT&T Black Friday and Cyber Monday Smartphone Sale

Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales are just about to jump off, and AT&T has announced its exclusive online deals for customers starting on Black Friday, November 25th and running through Cyber Monday, November 28th.  The company will be offering discounts on Windows 7, BlackBerry and Android smartphone devices, and pricing will start at one penny for some smartphones.  One cent deals for phones like the Motorola Atrix, Samsung Infuse, BlackBerry 9810, HTC Inspire and LG Thrill will be available while supplies last, but you will have to agree to a two-year service contract and monthly Smartphone voice and data plans from AT&T.  Free shipping and waived activation is offered as well.

RIM recently announced two new BlackBerry 7 OS based smartphones scheduled to be released through carriers around the world in the coming weeks. The BlackBerry Bold 9790 smartphone is RIM’s new high resolution touchscreen display device with a tactile keyboard. The new BlackBerry Curve 9380 is the company’s first BlackBerry Curve smartphone with a touch display, and it also has a traditional full QWERTY keyboard for the millions of Blackberry users who are accustomed to using that.

Motorola Mobility and Verizon Wireless recently announced the new DROID RAZR by Motorola, which Verizon Wireless released today, 11-11-11, at 11:11 am in the United States. This slim smartphone costs $299.99 with a new two-year agreement at Verizon Wireless Stores and online.

This slim smartphone measures 7.1 mm thin, yet it can withstand bumps, bruises and spills because it is made made with KEVLAR fiber for strength and Corning Gorilla Glass for scratch resistance, and it also has water repellent nanocoating. The DROID RAZR is powered by Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread, a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, and it runs on Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network, which is said to provide speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G.

Samsung and Google GALAXY Nexus features Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS

The new Samsung and Google GALAXY Nexus is the world’s first smartphone to run Google’s new Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich mobile operating system, and it will also offer speedy 4G LTE or HSPA+ connectivity when the device is released in the U.S., Europe, and Asia starting in November. Ice Cream Sandwich on the GALAXY Nexus from Samsung is said to sport a freshly redesigned Android user interface, improved multi-tasking, notifications, Wi-Fi hotspot, NFC support, and a full web browsing experience.

The new GALAXY Nexus smartphone is the first Android smartphone with software navigation buttons, lock screen, home screen, phone app, and more. Of course T-Mobile retail stores and T-Mobile online are also selling the Exhibit II 4G phone, which holds the distinction of being T-Mobile’s first no annual contract required 4G smartphone. It’s priced at $199.99, but it is also available with a two-year contract plan option which lowers the cost of the smartphone down to $29.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate.
