The HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE smartphone was recently announced at the  International CTIA Wireless 2012, and Verizon Wireless has announced plans to release this sleek smartphone on its 4G LTE network in the coming weeks, promising an average 5 to 12 megabits per second on the downlink and 2 to 5 Mbps on the uplink.. Among the impressive features found on the new Droid Incredible 4G LTE, this smart phone is NFC capable for making mobile payments at retailers,  and it is equipped with an advanced 8-megapixel camera that shoots HD video and captures photos at the same time.  The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, and it runs Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich OS and HTC’s Sense 4.0 user interface. Dr. Dre’s Beats Audio technology enhances music and entertainment audio on the Droid Incredible 4G LTE.

Samsung Focus 2 Windows Phone launching on AT&T 4G LTE network

The new Samsung Focus 2 smartphone, AT&T‘s third 4G LTE Windows Phone offering, will be available in glossy pure white beginning May 20th for a budget-friendly $49.99 with a two-year contract. Powered by the Windows Phone 7.5 operating system, Samsung Focus 2 offers Live Tiles which provide real time updates of calendar appointments, emails or social media feeds on the phone’s Start Screen.

T-Mobile Prism budget-friendly smartphone release

T-Mobile Prism smartphoneT-Mobile USA is set to release the new budget-friendly T-Mobile Prism smartphone, aimed at first-time smartphone customers.  The Prism will go on sale at Best Buy stores starting May 6, at Walmart starting May 9 and it will be available at T-Mobile retail stores nationwide, and online via www.T-Mobile.com beginning May 23. The T-Mobile Prism is priced at $19.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate card with a two-year service agreement and qualifying Classic voice and data plan or $149.99 via no annual contract. T-Mobile customers will be offered pricing options including no annual contract paired with a T-Mobile Monthly 4G plan or paired with a two-year T-Mobile Classic or Value plan.

New Samsung GALAXY S III smartphone to be released May 29 in Europe

Samsung Electronics has finally announced details and release dates for the new GALAXY S III smartphone.  According to Samsung, the Galaxy S3 is “designed for humans and inspired by nature,” and the sleek smartphone features a 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display, an 8MP camera and a 1.9MP front camera which offers intelligent camera features such as face recognition. The device is powered by Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich operating system also includes Near Field Communication (NFC) technology.

The new Samsung GALAXY S III smartphone will be available in Pebble Blue and Marble White colors on May 29 in Europe, and in additional color options as the phone is rolled out to other markets globally. Pricing has not been announced.

Intel XOLO X900 smartphone released in India

First announced at Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona last February by Intel and India’s Lava International Ltd., the new XOLO X900 smartphone is now on sale in India priced at about INR 22000. The XOLO X900 is available at Croma mega stores in India,  and it is the first smartphone with Intel inside packing the Intel Atom processor Z2460 with Intel Hyper Threading Technology and supporting HSPA+ 3G connectivity.

Order LG Viper 4G LTE Phone from Sprint

LG Viper 4G LTE smartphoneThe new LG Viper 4G LTE smartphone is now available for purchase for new and existing customers priced at $99.99 with a new two-year service agreement and $50 mail-in rebate. The LG Viper is on sale at Sprint stores,  Best Buy and RadioShack stores in the U.S, and it offers Android 2.3, Gingerbread operating system, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM and 4G of ROM.

This smartphone is also equipped with a 4-inch bright and clear touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass screen protector, a virtual QWERTY keyboard, a 4GB microSD card, a 5MP rear-facing camera with flash and a VGA front-facing camera for video chat.

The LG Viper is said to be Sprint’s first 4G LTE device to feature eco-friendly attributes, including ULE Platinum Certification, a casing made of 50 percent recycled plastics, and packaging that is 100 percent recyclable. Sprint’s Everything Data plans for the LG Viper smartphone start at $79.99 per month .

LG Optimus 3D Max Smartphone released in Europe

LG has announced the release of its new Optimus 3D Max, glasses-free 3D smartphone in Europe.  Said to deliver a spectacular picture in either 2D or 3D, the Optimus 3D Max includes a new 3D Converter which supports more 3D content as it is able to convert 2D content from Google Earth, Google Maps and other mapping apps into 3D. The 5MP camera on this device captures both photos and video in 3D using its dual lenses, which can be viewed directly on the smartphone in glasses-free 3D or on a 3D capable computer monitor or TV.

The LG Optimus 3D Max  also has a 3D video editor which allows the editing of 3D video on the phone in real time, while a 3D Hot Key on the side of the phone lets you toggle between 2D and 3D.  LG promises to offer a maintenance release for the Optimus 3D Max soon, which will include a HD Converter for watching HD content on a HDTV connected through Mobile High-Definition Link,  as well as Range Finder, which calculates the distance between the camera and a subject as well as the dimensions of an object through triangulation. Pricing for this multimedia handset was not yet announced.

Sony SmartWatch Android phone released in the United States

This very cool Sony SmartWatch is now available in the United States, on sale for $149.99. The idea is to connect the SmartWatch to your Android smartphone via Bluetooth, which then lets you control key functions on your smartphone by taping, touching, and swiping on the SmartWatch’s 1.3-inch OLED touch screen.  There are a variety of Apps available for the SmartWatch, including social networking, fitness and music apps which you can download from the Google Play app store.

The SmartWatch is said to be durable, dust proof, and splash proof.  The black rubber wristband seen in the photo here is included with the Smart Watch, but you can switch up the style with wristbands in pink, white, mint, grey and blue colors that are sold separately. SmartWatch also has a rear mounted clip that allows you to attach it to your clothing or a belt.

HTC One X smartphone to be released exclusively by AT&T

The new HTC One X smartphone will not only be AT&T’s first smartphone to launch with the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system when it is released on May 6th,  it will also be AT&T’s first smartphone with the new HTC Sense 4 user interface, and the first phone from AT&T with Beats by Dr. Dre Audio built-in to the hardware and software.

Starting today, April 22nd, customers can pre-order the HTC One X for $199.99 with a new 2 year wireless service contract with voice (min $39.99/mo) and min monthly data plan ($20/mo). This smartphone is set to run on AT&T’s 4G LTE and HSPA+ network.

Eco-friendly LG Optimus Elite Android phone to be released by Sprint on Earth Day

In time for Earth Day 2012,  Sprint is releasing the eco-friendly LG Optimus Elite smartphone on the Sprint 3G Network.  The phone will go on sale in Titan Silver and White this Sunday, April 22 exclusively through www.sprint.com for $29.99 with a new two-year service agreement and $50 mail-in rebate. Look for the device to be available at Sprint Wireless retail stores on May 18, and from Sprint’s no-contract brand Virgin Mobile USA soon.

Features on the LG Optimus Elite include Android 2.3, Gingerbread,  a 3.5-inch capacitive touch-screen, 800 MHz processor, 5 MP rear-facing camera and camcorder with flash, virtual QWERTY keyboard and mobile hotspot capability supporting up to five Wi-Fi enabled devices. This smartphone is also enabled with Near Field Communication (NFC) for using the Google Wallet app to make payments using the device.
